Gregor and his Aston Martin DBR9 had a phenomenal race weekend at the inaugural Le Mans Classic Legend. No stranger to a podium, DBR9/5 boasts a podium finish at Sebring in 2008 and looked every bit as competitive this weekend.
After an epic battle across three races with the Maserati MC12s of Macari/Franchitti and Ritwegger, the DBR9 finished between the MC12s in each race. But as the Maseratis never raced at Le Mans in period, they were run at Le Mans Classic Legend under an invitational class and are ineligible to win. As a result, Gregor won the GT1B class and came 2nd overall in Plateau 9.
Thank you to organisers Peter Auto, our awesome preparers Pursuit Racing, and Nico Verdonck of NV Academy for his coaching throughout the weekend.
