Gregor and Christoff shared the Porsche 997 GT3-R, affectionally known as the ‘Tartan Terror’, in its historic racing debut at Motor Racing Legends' Donington Historic Festival. In the hugely competitive GT3 grid, the pair started in 19th enjoying epic battles to advance to 15th in race 1 and 13th in race 2. While Gregor thoroughly enjoyed flexing his GT3 muscle memory, Christoff was even happier to build on his GT3 racing experience and ended the weekend having closed most of the gap to Gregor’s lap times
Oliver was on track too, sharing a Jaguar XK120 with his uncle in the Pre-63 GT grid. Among far younger and faster machinery, the pair drove from 11th on the grid to a finish in a respectable 7th place overall, and clinched a well-deserved 2nd place in the Index of Performance award.
In the paddock, Dan was on hand with a display of two pre-war leviathans. The sporting 1927 Mercedes-Benz 680 S was never without a queue of admirers, while the imposing 1931 Bentley 8-Litre Le Mans Tourer caught the eye of a competitor and may soon be heading to the USA…
