BEST OF BRITISH FOR THE BEFORTY RALLY

Beforty Rally 11-12th April 2026

The entry criteria for many rallies can be somewhat complicated, but not here. On the Beforty, it’s all in the name: you as a participant must be under 40-years old and your car must be from before 1940. Old cars, young people – simple.

Each year the Beforty moves to a new European location and 2026 was the turn for Great Britain to play the host nation, with over 50 cars from all across the continent making the pilgrimage to Hampshire. Two cars from less far were our 1924 Vauxhall 30-98 Brooklands Special and 1931 Austin Seven Ulster, with Christoff, Dan, Oliver and Rhiannon rotating between them over the weekend.

Organised superbly by Cressida de Little and John James, the route took the intrepid troupe across some of Britain’s best scenery, dipping in and out of the New Forest. Coffee and lunch stops hosted by Vintage Bentley and Walter Heale provided both sustenance and mechanical assistance where required, while sundowners at the Goodwood provided many with their first experience of the famous Motor Circuit.

Jonas Lach, whose Jonny’s Garage Instagram page has made his Austin Seven one of the most famous pre-war cars in the world, was received the award for having driven the furthest to the event from deepest Germany.

Dutch brothers Pieter and Thomas Stoof were acknowledged both for being the youngest team at just 18 and 16-years old respectively, and also for driving the oldest car on the event, their beautiful 1923 Diatto Type 20.

The Ladies Cup went to the Marsh family trio of Lucy, Jemma and Chloe in their fabulous 1923 Sunbeam 14hp.

Fiskens was delighted to have sponsored the 2026 Beforty Rally and we already can’t wait for the 2027 edition in Luxembourg.
